Human nature
Human nature is unkind. It treats man and woman as wild beasts. And life as a struggle to breed. Any thing else is only of importance if it adds value to the breeding process. Man runs to woman to outwit in order to get a chance to donate a key to the egg. Woman runs to man to be appreciated, pleasured and protected to be able to recieve the key that fertilises the egg. Much as man is hasty to part with the key, woman is cautious and patient as to pick the best key. This, she does with deep emotions that she calls love and tests it with attention. She expects man to understand this love. Not knowing that man is more eager to donate key than to study this slow thing called love. Like two beasts in the wild, man and woman always end up with a predictable compromise and a much longer and tougher relationship that only the two fight to maintain. And ofcourse more donors and recipients to devolop and nourish into new breeds of wild beasts. Products of the so mysterious love.
